“Be a teacher!” my mom always said…
“Not on your life!” was my standard reply.
My brother and sister were both educators…wasn’t that enough? But after digging my heels in and resisting for years, I find myself in my 26th year of teaching. The last twenty-one have been at Talent Middle School in southern Oregon’s beautiful Rogue Valley. Now in my fourth year as the computer/technology teacher, I’ve had my hand in tech both at the building and district level since we first brought those new-fangled computer things into our classrooms. I was one of the early members of the SOESD’s EdTech Cadre and have somehow found myself joining forces with the fine minds of ORVSD. I absolutely love that I get to connect and work with such a great bunch of folks!
Ask me and I’ll evangelize, even wax poetic, on all of the great tools that are out there to help teachers teach and kids learn! Google Apps nut…Forms junkie…Schoology crusader…Mac addict…Evernote evangelist…and that’s just for starters 🙂
